My protected time this year is really short, so I’ll number them and try to write about them everyday because I want to make sure I didn’t let time slip through my fingers just like that.
So yesterday, I started off by waking up a little late. I was SUPPOSED to hit the gym / or go for a run, but I didn’t. In the end, I ended up running errands with Mak for raya.
Today’s catch phrase seems to be “cancel”…
The Cancellations
I just realized that Thursday was the night before Hari Raya Haji, so WD training will be cancelled to make way for preparations.
Shikin didn’t meet putput that night, so we arranged for a much needed last minute meet-up at Westmall. I picked up my wedding ring as well. Can’t wait to put it on.
I didn’t get my initial choice for my decor company. I rushed and called them as soon as their hotline was open for booking just to find out I was second in line. So, in the end, I did some research on the net, got my ideas and got another co. Meeting up with them after my Thai trip.
The biggest and most disappointing cancellation would have to be my Bintan trip. Naz’s approved leave was cancelled because two colleagues had urgent problems; one, back problem, the other his dying dad. So as a result, our trip was cancelled. My one & only (leisure) trip. Can’t say I’m not affected, but it’s not a choice. So, I’ll try and look forward to my Thai trip as much as possible. SO, ya no holiday trip this holiday. Sucks, big time.
Purchases
I bought two books. Plan to buy one more; “The Last Lecture” seems like something I should get my hands on.
I bought one black blazer as well for the Thai trip. Very comfy. A little expensive though.
Okay, so now I should wash up, and catch up with my Mak who is already on the way to the pasar. It’s like 930am, but my Mak’s already afraid they’ll run out of poultry. Oh well, tomorrow is Raya. So maybe there is a reason to rush.
Okay people, hope your protected time has started off better than mine. Regardless, Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha.

I don’t know whether I’ve reached my physical limit.
My most tiring routines in life ( dikir & work) are over… It’s the holidays now, but somehow the fatigue is not going away. I try to sleep but I wake up in the wee hours of the morning. Now, I am awake again at 4am. If I go back to sleep, I know I will have difficulty waking up, so I’m not sure whether I should do that.
I know the cause. This routine of running from west to east and only getting a few hours of sleep everyday is not doing any good for my body. It’s causing me to eat more to make up for the energy lost… It’s forcing my body to survive on very little sleep. But… I can’t quit. Not now.
I’m tired. I’m really tired. My activities are over, but the fatigue is still here. My holidays are starting soon, but I am already seeing the end of it. Two weeks of rest, then it’s back to work in Thailand.
I really need to do some reflecting in the next two weeks. I need some kind of a system… to balance it all. Work, dikir, my social life… of course, planning for my big day in 2011.
For tomorrow, I need to prepare for the next year.
My mind is cluttered. I need it cleared by 7am.
Why is everything a freaking race? Rushing and running, there simply is no end to it.

In the staffroom…
“Mendung?”
“What?”
“Mendung kat luar?”
“Ouh… Heh, erm entah tingkap aku tinted.”
…
Turns around in the NIE canteen to find a girl shouting…
“Rosakkkkkkkkkkkk!”
…
Do you feel it? The hunger pangs of 2003… a hunger that needs to be satisfied.
