First stop, my humble house. Well, since I got a feeling I was not going to be early, so I decided to make my house the first. Hehhe.
Awww… the touching bermaaf-maafan shot. Trust me, it was way kecoh-er and noiser than it seems in pictures.
Caca & Ida. I loike this shot!
Above, is my muka stop-it/take-care. Below, our favourite nenek ever… NEK MOK!!!
What happens when you raya with teenagers?
You are somehow still eligible to receive green packets. Yahoo! Fun or what? It’s really fun when you can let loose and be sixteen all over again with this fun bunch. We had our own van to transport us for the day so, there was no need to behave because we were not in the public eye. Damn fun! No need to act (as dya would say) kakak-kakak lobang with this bunch ah.
Still waiting for pictures of the show… and raya-ing in the east side.
Thanks hani, you take great pictures.

Ok, while waiting for my WD Jalan Raya pictures, I ended up youtubing old Britney videos. (Yes, Britney as in Britney Spears.) I’m more of a Christina Aguilera fan, but I kinda liked this one back in Secondary School.
Then, I started youtubing bands like Solid Harmonie & B*witched. I loved this song by B*witched.
Haha memories. I think it must have been because of Nat’s obsession with “Womanizer” during Dance Camp that made me look up all these classics once again.

I’m rushing for time because I just woke up and am supposed to rush to dance. But I can’t resist the temptation of uploading a few of my favourite photos during D2’s jalan raya.
This is Naz’s favourite pic of us for this year; because it’s the only one where you can see his hair. Haha. Because he took it himself. (Of course lah, you taller whattttt…)
Love this shot. I tried experimenting with some unexplored option on my camera and it turned out pretty good.
More pictures to be uploaded soon.

I’m wondering why I’m so tired today. I suddenly realized why.
Firstly, there was the multi-tasking I had to do in school; keying in of marks & organizing the school concert. Then, it was the busloads of students coming over to my humble crib to celebrate Hari Raya. On top of all that, dance has officially resumed so my Monday & Wednesday nights are occupied. So are my Sunday mornings. Plus, I slept over at TTSH to accompany Love when his uncle got sick on Friday night… and of course, the whole of last weekend was spent with the D2 brothers raya-ing.
I don’t think I’ll personally get to rest any time soon because, WD’s training will resume tomorrow as we have a show and raya outing on Saturday and Ilsa’s having Dance Camp on Sunday & Monday.
I’ve started sneezing non-stop ever since Saturday night. A flu is so not going to help me get through all this better. Ugh
…
On a lighter note, I rebonded my hair! Very happy. So now my raya pictures with D2 are much nicer than the ones with BP, with all the distracting flyaway, frizzy hair. Woohoo. Will upload pictures soon.
Since Ilsa’s production is only on 28 December, I’ll still hopefully get to take pictures with my nicely rebonded hair during my short holiday. I seriously need a break right now… a holiday, a massage or something.
…
OK CAN GO HOME! Moderation day is over!
I need sleep. Pictures upload later.

I didn’t know entering of marks can be sooo… tedious. Well, I sure am glad it’s over. School’s been pretty overwhelming. One minute I’m happily singing away at Teachers’s Day Lunch, the next I’m suddenly concert I.C. Yes, the crazy fart supposedly in charge of the planning of programmes, AVA, emcees script and such. When I first got the piece of paper that decided my fate, I swear I had trouble sleeping, even though nice colleagues of mine kept telling me it’s a small affair that can be carried out with minimal planning. Furthermore, I had to come up with a singing item that included a Thai song for the Thai exchange students and teachers. Hee. Thai. Dejavuuuuu.
Somehow, I managed, with the help of some very nice colleagues. Miss Yvonne helped me put together a band. I managed to get a beatboxing Sec 2 emcee & a few singers from the same level as well. Item rehearsed, marks keyed in. For the first time this week, I can sleep in peace. Alhamdulillah. I seriously need my VPN. Unfortunately, admin manager’s away in hospital for a very long time. It’s not very convenient having to borrow from other teachers to key in marks. They need to do the same as well, right? Tsk.

Students came today, and last Friday. I was worried about alot of things; whether there was enough space, whether my house would be too hot, whether I could cook enough. Luckily, they didn’t complain. Today, my 3 of my 3NA students surprised me.
For the first time, 3 boys insisted that I keep the green packets that I intended to give them. I thought they were joking at first, but they kept their arms folded and with the sincerest look in their eyes, they said:
“Cikgu, simpan aje duit ni. Kita datang sini ikhlas. Kita cuma nak mintak maaf kalau kita ada terkasar bahasa atau tersalah cakap apa-apa. Kita kesian kat Cikgu.”
I was puzzled. I laughed it off, and told them not to worry because I AM already receiving a salary.
“Cikgu, simpan aje duit tu… untuk orang kat dalam tu. (referring to my dad in his room)
I was shocked that they even noticed my dad lying on his bed in his room with his feeding tube resting on his cheek. Before they left, they said, ” Kirim salam orang kat dalam eh?”
No, they are no angels. They are students who annoy me in class by sleeping, or talking very loudly in class. I suppose my theory about loudmouths being very vulnerable deep under is true to some extent. They often use harsh words to shelter their brittle hearts, but once in a while still show their softer side.
Or, probably it’s also because of this video I showed them a week before raya:
Petronas produces the best raya commercials.

Wish me luck for Thursday.

Pictures of me, sis & bro doing our raya rounds to our aunts & uncles’ places. We don’t normally do it every year because of a few reasons:
- I was on no-pay leave; didn’t feel like forking out cash on taxi trips and such
- Mak never accompanied us, because she couldn’t bear to leave my Ayah at home alone
- Abang and us never found a common date to go out
However, this year, I sort of got the three of us together… Me & Adek decided to pay for taxi fares because Nabil got naughtier and would make our hearts jump by running around on MRT platforms. As all of us are in heels, so we can’t possibly catch him .. so the taxi was the best alternative. Probably, we should rent a car next year.
We started off by meeting Abang at Jurong East MRT.
Had Nabil with me most of the time.
First house…
My Aunt
My Cuzzie
My sis
I like this shot of Nabil. So cute.
US! (minus cameralady Adik)
Tried to snap another picture of Nabil & me, but he decided to hang on my neck instead… haiyo
Lots more houses, but I didn’t manage to snap pictures in some places where we were busy chatting or eating…
…
Frankly, it’s not easy trying to mingle with aunts and uncles whom I’ve grown distant with ever since my Ayah got stroke about 10 years ago. I was 14 & Adik was 13; we definitely didn’t have the confidence or courage to go raya rounding alone without Mak & Ayah.
However, I’m really glad we made it work this year. I hope we can make it an annual routine.

Spot the naughty “adaa plannn” smile.
“…panjat sinii .. nak kokok (duduk) siniiii…”
“Kena tangkap! I was only trying to get my book lah bibik!”

Not much on first day raya. Abang had to work. So, we didn’t get to take much pictures together. Here is the only group pic of the day.
Buttttttt for the first time, in a loooong time, we ( the trio – Abang Kakak Adik ) managed to set aside a day to visit our aunts & uncles. Pics are still in my camera, but they’ll be up soon enough.
Though our raya celebration this year is far from extravagant, but at least we’re not celebrating it in some hospital… and finally, there are home-made cookies on the table once again.
Syukur.
