Amidst all the voices who were questioning me about my blunder on stage, there was a voice who said he felt something inside when he saw me in such a predicament. Though he & his brothers made it through, obviously he did not let it get to his head. Thank you Tukang Karut from A. I really appreciate your words. I wish you & your brothers well in the finals.

It’s a reality check for me. Five ( or six) years in the scene does not mean I will not make senseless mistakes.
…
It happened in a pretty good time as well. 2 days before Ramadhan. Shows how life goes one full circle; you can never be always on top. There will be downfalls, but we must learn how to dust off our shoulders and pick ourselves up.
God made us all equals; humans who are made to err.
To the team, my most sincere apologies.
…
D2, your efforts paid off. Even though you were told you’ll never make it without 04’s awoks, you guys still pulled through. Shows how dedication & hardwork will pay off well. Get me a tshirt; I shall sit in the supporters stand this time.
…
Ramadhan is here. 1001 niat in my heart. I shall not pen it down for fear of not being able to achieve any of them properly.

I am full-time educator now. Uh oh.

He not only teaches me about where to place my feet or how to move my hands / arms / wrists. He teaches us how to be, human.
During one of the sessions where we had to dance on broken porecelain cups, he told simply told us to be confident but “jangan megah” (do not be proud). All of us complied, fearing the cups would cut our thin soles. When we were done, escaped unscathed, he said…
” Bila saya kata jangan megah , bukan kerana kita hendak berjalan atas kaca. Jangan megah kerana kita orang Islam.”
But one of the best pieces of advice he ever dispensed would be the one said on the day we had to dance expressing emotions. He asked a few of us about what could make us angry, and a friend replied, “… bila kena kutuk ah.”
He simply said, ” Jika ada orang yang suka menghina atau mengutuk awak, kita doakan sejahtera untuknya.”
I guess he simply meant we should not stoop to their level and give them the verbal lashing they deserve. Instead, just pray for their well being. A little bit hard to do for a vengeful Arien like me, but I shall try my very best.
Thank you Cikgu Osman Hamid. I don’t for how long I can be in Ilsa Tari, but I sure will make the best of my time there. To learn from you not just a dancer, but also as a teacher. His pieces of advice may seem very simple and probably redundant to some, but I assure you sometimes, humans do forget how to behave like humans… intellectuals included.

I didn’t come to hear about options. I know what our options are. I wanted an explanation for all the loop holes.

I shall not disclose personal details of my life to people who punctuate their sentences with sarcasm.
No, I do not beg for money.
My personal mantra now? If we can make it through the past ten challenging years, we can make it as a family through these few months… Insya’allah.

Thursday! One day to the weekend… yeay. Honestly, I’ve been very tired with daily dikir trainings, having to do daily lesson plans… but so far so good. No need for MCs these few weeks.
CT’s been nice. She picked me up a couple of times.
I prefer walking than taking the bus nowadays. Because 196 takes forever to reach NTSS’s bus stop.

Crazy week. With the few of us chasing for answers from N & M. I hope we get our answers tomorrow. 4pm. Student Hub. It’s on ok, people?
…
I just got to know about the BH forum today.
I’m nice enough to password protect the previous entry. Just a little piece of advice for you to note; if you can’t even be a team player & submit your assignments properly in NIE, please don’t utter rubbish in the papers and create moral panic.
It doesn’t make the world a better place to live in.
Let’s end on a sweet note with a peribahasa,
“…seperti ketam menyuruh anaknya berjalan betul…”

Cleaning up my stuff today.
Bringing home my karangans to mark over the weekend. I don’t know if I’m going to regret saying this but, I really love my NT class. SUch a gem! They were angels when the VP sat in because they knew she was grading me. Cute lah, they way they kind of look out for me.
Anyway, it’s the weekend again! Woohoo.

Was browsing through my old emails looking for old lyrics; from my first way back in 2005 till the previous one at Siglap South. I found all, except the first 3 comps. Darn. They’re probably the most memorable ones. I should have kept them filed up from day one. Ouh well. Probably if I cleaned my room, I might find hard copies of them.

I believe that when you clear your mind of negative things that bring you down, suddenly the mental block self-distructs and disappears. After school, I shall do just that.

The improvisation exercise relieves me of something… plus, his philosophies on dance gave life to something inside I thought had died long ago.
For the first time, in a long time, I feel good about myself when I dance.

For the first time, we actually managed to get tickets for NDP through the balloting system! It started off with Diah suggesting we try registering for the balloting of tickets through the AXS system before training at Bedok CC… since she suggested registering our names in the first place, she definitely earned herself one spot at Marina Bay.
