Layar Citra; the aftermath: Nyah, you lupa lyric hek?
Can you imagine if I actually left a petty comment there… Something like:
“Are you guys talking about me? *sob sob”
LOL.

Ok. Back to planning my ‘wonderful’ lesson plans.

I was browsing my emails trying to look for the weekly lesson plan format Martini sent me years back during my diploma days, then i came across this:
ps: teka teki- dalam banyak2 soup, soup apa ada kunci?
(If you knew my supervisor’s name, you’d get the joke.)
LOL. One of the many jokes we used to share. I still remember how my CT (Cikgu Rosmini) treated me like a daughter, Martini my buddy, always looked out for me like a sister & a good friend, back in HPPS. Very thankful that during my first ever teaching experience, I was guided by people like them who not only taught me about class management & the normal class routines, but also how to work smart & not get burnt out. Wherever you guys are right now, I’d like to say thank you, for everything. I hope you’re doing well in life.

This current practicum? Well, things look good at the moment; with class sizes ranging from 7 to 20plus. Manageable classes. Warm staff. It’s the daily & weekly detailed lesson plans I worry about. Definitely will tire me out.

Things I HOPE to do by the end of today:
1. Buy two huge ring files to store all the lesson plans for ten weeks.
2. Email / fax Dr Roksana my timetable
3. Plan weekly lesson plans.
4. Read up notes on expository, narrative & descriptive compositions.
5. Familiarize with ‘N’ level, ‘O’ level & NT paper formats.

It’s only been two days & I feel so darn tired. Must the waking up so early in the morning part. Ouh well, I’ll get used to this…soon enough.

Firstly,
Sorry to Mariana & Faiz; I couldn’t attend your wedding dinner & your reception because it clashed with the dikir competition date itself. I’ll make it to you guys ok?

Citra was ok. Wasn’t my best. Wasn’t OUR best. I felt we did better during trainings… but, I was relieved that the results turned out pretty good. Alhamdulillah. The best part was seeing a contented smile on a person I found so hard to receive compliments from.
… and of course the ‘lagu ciptaan terbaik’ individual award… couldn’t have done it without the help of Matt’s collection of Chinese tribal songs from his bagpacking trip. Thanks Matt. and Liza, it’s been great working with you.
and of course YOU KAK FID. Love you. Can’t wait to see you on the sixth.

1st day of school. No more holidays. No more being a student.
But, the people here are pretty nice though. So, I suppose I’m doing ok. ok gotta go. Induction programme. Say hello to the new Cikgu of NTSS.

Somebody got himself injured by falling in an awkward manner during a soccer match. Tsk tsk tsk.

As a result, he got a very bad sprain… and his ankle got swollen; almost twice the size of the original. Pretty bad on the first day; lucky Ayah’s old wheelchair still functioning. But, he’s ok now.

Watched Kristal with the NIE babes. I suddenly realized how much I missed chatting with all of you. and yes Nis, that 1 hour plus was like too short a time to catch up with each other. Probably Friday we chill somewhere alright?
…
1st dance performance! Me & newly-found partner Farahin did the basic inang… ouh well basics first.
Very fun, I like. Except for the fact that the music couldn’t be clearly heard in the beginning. (MATTTTT!!!) But I think we handled the missing 1/8 pretty ok. If I didn’t have training, I would have stayed to watch & chill after that. Boo. Anyway, I had fun with you girls.

Yes, we cannot be too honest at all times. Being blunt has dire consequences. But, I rather shut up when I don’t have something nice to say, rather than lie to everyone including myself… and I don’t say something and deny having said it a moment after. It’s not called ‘being nice’. It’s called hypocrisy… and it reflects alot on a person’s moral courage to take responsibility for what has been said & done.
I don’t mind being played out. In fact, I’m glad it’s happening now; at a point of time in my life where I feel I can stand strong as an individual.

I’ve had to wake up early over the weekends & yesterday as well for that job at Sentosa. Tiring I tell you. But, I don’t have much of a choice. But the people there were nice; our field manager, fellow surveyers & the Sentosa staff as well. I almost lost my helmet though. Found it at the lost & found counter in the end. Phew.

RESULTS ARE OUT!
Actually, I’m not too happy about my results. I did better previously. I dropped from 2nd class upper to 2nd class lower (I think). But, there is still reason to celebrate. No Cs for all 4 semesters!
I hope I don’t do too bad during practicum. Despite having a very good experience the first two times, I am not getting very good vibes about it this time. Ah well my gut feeling can be inaccurate at times.

Dance has been good. I like the fact that I am given a brief explanation on the meaning and the origin behind certain movements. Very interesting.
Rest today. No dance training. No dikir training. No walking around surveying Malaysian tourists at Sentosa today. Yeay. Perhaps I should go jog tonight.
…Wake me up when September ends…
