Uh oh. I forsee having a clash of commitments soon. I think, most probably, I can only fully commit to dance after the 22nd. For now till then, I need to focus on WD & that part-time job at Sentosa. A bit sad that Ab can only start after 12 June. Boo. Plus, I would have to give the post-Alunan Kasih shows/activities a pass due to the new part-time job as well.
Then, of course there’s F’s wedding & BS roadshow & semis in July. and ouh, practicum in 3 weeks as well. ouh dear ouh dear. I’ve started jotting down dates in my organizer once again. Will spend the whole of tonight sorting out dates & priorities.

Southern Ridges tomorrow with Matt. Yeay.

Saturday was interesting. Woke up early (considering it was Saturday) to head to Bedok CC.
and… I got through. Haa. Quite cute, with the yellow/golden ticket to Hollywood Bedok CC.
Watched Gentarasa with Love & the boys, since they got extra tickets. Had Popeyes at the Singapore Flyer.
yumyum. i like their biscuits smothered in strawberry jam.
Gentarasa was alright. I sort of expected more since it was so hyped up over the years. The dances & dancers were good. I think what bothered me was the pace. There were quite a few moments when I kept waiting & waiting for something to happen… and when it did happen, it was not big enough to be called a climax. I enjoyed the kampong scenes though; pretty authentic.
Since we booked a karaoke room at midnight, and had time to burn after Gentarasa, we headed to La Baroque at Chjimes. I like live bands. Shaggies were playing that night, with Olin as the lead singer. Just as the next band (True Colours, if I’m not mistaken) started to play we already had to leave as it was almost midnight. Darn. Must go again.
…
Just realized I haven’t jogged the whole of this week. Went for the Southern Ridges once, I think. Ouh well. First dance training later tonight. Great. Can’t wait to start anew.

Shameless self-shots first, as usual. hekhek
I truly had fun during the finals.
and I was thankful to have had a teammate like Karmila, who stood by me all the way…
and of course fun guys like Biggy, Appu & Kunch.
All has come to an end.
I enjoyed the whole experience; the recordings, the interviews and the finals itself. My expectations for this one was not high, because I realized how strong and special every song I was competing against was. My personal favourite was Syafaatkan Aku, written by mother-daughter team, who managed to clinch the third place. I loved the tune, especially the first line of the song.
Here I’d like to thank everyone involved in making the event a success. Byleft, especially Tina & Terrence who were with us during recording sessions. Jbon & Mansor, for all the advice and help on cleaning up our arrangement. An-Nur, especially the all the ustaz who never fail to touch us with their inspiring speeches.
“… what comes from the heart, will touch the heart…”
and ouh… thank you for those gave their support to our song; those who voted and those who came on the day itself.
Congratulations to all winners. Hope to hear you guys on the airwaves soon.

We did it!
We managed to conquer the Southern Ridges in 3 hours. Me, Matt & Pul. Yes, Pul. Finally he woke up and joined us. No more, “…eh aku dah bangun… Tapi aku belum tidur ah…” haa.
The trip would have been shorter if we didn’t stop to camwhore so often.
But that’s ok. We intend to pick up our pace and leave the camera at home on our next attempt. Lots & lots of pictures. Pretty pretty. We even saw monkeys this time round.
Felt like tourists on some budget trip with the frequent photo-taking.
…
Changi was fun!!! all seven of us squeezed into two tents, somewhere in Changi. Pul made us dinner supper.
beautiful sunrisee, the morning after.
Went cycling at Ubin the next day. Double-biked. THere were a few erm trying moments… but all was good in the end.
yummmm fresh coconut during our last break before heading back to the mainland.

I think I’m quitting the job at P. Pays too little & too much uncertainty when comes to the days and hours I need to work. Besides this camp facilitator job quite promising; both the job scope & pay.

The jog around west coast area turned into a hike through kent ridge park.
… because we both read the papers regarding the canopy walk and decided to check it out. we actually WALKED all the way from clementi/west coast to NUS, through kent ridge park then all the way till some part of pasir panjang. Then we took 188 to harbour front to have breakfast & 166 back home.
Damn tiring I tell you. My stamina’s gone down the drain. Perhaps if we do it often enough, it won’t feel that difficult anymore. and I WANT to do it again. Damn fun. I like the pretty scenery & interesting birds that (sadly) shyed away from my (phone) camera.
I want to do this again.Perhaps with a bigger group of friends, a larger supply of water & food. and ouh, a proper camera.

I got to do relief teaching at GD Secondary for CCM. I got lost because Punggol just felt so alien to me. But I was glad I took it up even though I was SUPPOSED to see ayu & the baby. Haiz. Gotta figure things out and make ends meet somehow.
The job at P was ok. I got three appointments in a day. Hurray. Can’t wait for probation period to be over.
Must keep going. Must keep going.
…
and love,
thanks for the lovely dinner by the seaside. but most of all thanks for understanding. I’ll make it up to you, when September ends.
four.three.
subtle. small, yet important.

…
read through the emails. I seriously hope the culprit is not from our cohort. and yes, the best way to settle things is to talk and discuss in person. Because emails often get misinterpreted and all… and might just cause our problems to multiply.

wordpress has cool features like blog statistics & all… but I can’t help but feel annoyed having referrers whom I do not know. If your blog is password protected, please do not link my blog to yours. Thank you.
Besides, why password protect if you ain’t got nothing to hide? ok fine, password protect if you must, but at least have the courtesy to tell me who u are before linking me up.

The movie was ok.
Cocky guy gets enlightened… and saves the world. Don’t get me wrong, I like the movie. But I find the scenes with the Muslim terorrists a little disturbing. Times like this, I thank God I was born in Singapore (and not anywhere else) where warlords and terorrists only exist in movies. Ouh, with Mas Selamat as an exception though. LOL.

You are stronger than you think you are. I’m sorry if I upset you the other day. It’s nobody’s fault. This is just a trying period for us; let’s go through it together.
